ABOUT THIS EVENT  !!!

Salem Police Department Landlord Training:

Next session will be April 12 & 13, 2017!

Rental property owners, managers, resident managers and realty investors: This training is for you. Held only one time per year, the workshop is designed to teach participants about how to reduce crime in and around rental properties, as well as how to establish and maintain a stable rental environment.

Day one focuses on crime prevention strategies for properties, recognition of drug and other types of criminal activity that can detract from the stability of any neighborhood. Participants will also learn about state laws and local ordinances that affect rental properties. Officers with expertise in each of these areas will instruct the class and be able to answer common and uncommon questions that can help you protect your investment.

Day two is conducted in partnership with John Campbell of Campbell DeLong Resources. Mr. Campbell facilitates an expanded section on Oregon landlord/tenant law which includes the ins and outs of applicant screening, rental agreements and the eviction process.
