&lt;p&gt;This course will examine the challenges posed by a range of disasters:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;ul&gt;
  &lt;li style="line-height: 15px;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Natural disasters&lt;/strong&gt;: These include wind storms, fires, floods, and similar events that occur due to environmental and weather-related causes. Such disasters can severely damage properties and disrupt the lives of tenants.&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li style="line-height: 15px;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Unnatural disasters&lt;/strong&gt;: These refer to damages caused by human actions, such as tenant-caused destruction, cigarette fires, and other avoidable incidents. Although different in origin, these disasters can be just as destructive as those caused by nature.&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p&gt;In response to these risks, the course will also address the various protections that can help offset the devastation brought about by both natural and unnatural disasters. Understanding these safeguards is essential for housing providers seeking to minimize losses and ensure the safety and security of their properties and tenants.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;br&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#993333"&gt;&lt;font color="#221E1F" face="Lato"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Violet Wilson&amp;nbsp;is the "V" in V &amp;amp; R Management. Violet is Oregon licensed and works full-time as a property manager.&amp;nbsp; Violet holds a Bachelor of Arts in Science from San Jose State University and a Masters of Science in Education from Western Oregon University. She was a high school teacher for over 36 years in California and Oregon schools.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;font color="#221E1F" face="Lato"&gt;&amp;nbsp;V &amp;amp; R Management, LLC has operated since 1990, specializing in single family home rentals but they have managed all types of properties.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
